Hello, I’m Julie Parkinson – a Funeral Celebrant based in Tauranga, offering compassionate, personalised ceremonies to honour the lives of those we love and have lost.

After a deeply personal experience with the passing of my father 24 years ago, I felt a strong pull toward the funeral profession. Although life took me on a different path for a time, the desire to support families during moments of loss never left me. Now, with a wealth of life and professional experience behind me, I’ve returned to this long-held calling.

With a background in financial planning and over 15 years in real estate, I bring with me the qualities that matter most in this work – empathy, trust, professionalism and clear, thoughtful communication. I’ve walked alongside many people during significant life transitions, always offering guidance, care, and a steady hand through challenging times.

I’m a long-time Tauranga local, married with three adult children and six beautiful grandchildren. My family means everything to me, and I understand the deep love, grief and celebration that surround every farewell.

As a celebrant, I consider it a privilege to help families create meaningful, heartfelt ceremonies that reflect the true essence of their loved one. I’m here to listen, to support, and to help you say goodbye with grace and dignity.
